I have been to all of the locations in Edmonton and everything is pretty much the same.  The NorthWest location is big and so it has some older equipment on the upper level.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The only problem with the northwest location is that it is pretty busy at 10:00pm.  Since it is open 24hours I am guessing it gets the additional traffic. type='text'>Post for December 20th 2005</title><content type='html'>I didn't goto workout today...I will be there tomorrow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In any event I've been working hard trying to document all of my calories and nutritional information.  Since alot of the packaging for foods comes with Nutritional Information these days -  I thought it would be neat to document this , just to see how well or how poorly I'm doing.  Of course that means I need to keep everything that I eat tracked, sometimes digging through the trash to document something I threw away.  To start off with it is a little bit of a pain.  I didn't really have a firm idea of how I wanted the data to be represented and what kinds of information I wanted to track.  I believe that I now have a good starting point and will be adding more tables as time and energy allow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am currently entering everything into an access database which will soon be in a SQL Database once I finalize the schema.  At which point I will try to create a web application to aid in data entry &amp; analysis.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Based on some queries that I ran today on my diet entry I was at a 997 Caloric Intake.  This is probably higher since I don't have all calorie information. Same old story...work to do, need to get it done...i'll work out another time. Excuses, Excuses....I can't stand it!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No Excuses Update: I worked out today.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;350 Calories.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I also lost 1 pound.  I know some people at work who are shedding massive amounts of weight in just a week.  I think that they may be just spewing in the washroom after their lunch and dinner. I believe my binging over the week...especially the lunch on friday took me in the opposite direction. The goal of losing 5lbs is not starting off on the right track. As I review my blog I can see that the *thought* has not sinked in. What am I really trying to do here?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What I am really trying to do is change my thinking. It has to be that whenever I sit down to eat I need to ask myself a question. Is what I'm eating helping or hurting my goal. I think weekends are the best times to workout because there is just more time available.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Calories burned: 530 on cross trainer.&lt;br /&gt;Weights: 3x12 for biceps&lt;br /&gt;Weights: 3x25 for triceps&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course with the weekend there is also more time to eat too. So I'm trying to avoid the left over halloween candy.  My goal is supposed to be a pound a week.  don't know if I will make it though. Anyways....Instead of pre-ordering my lunch and eating something managable I opted for the buffet. Why you ask did I choose the rotten, sneeze guard doesn't work, pig trough, I better eat all I can buffet! Because its cheap and easy. And that makes my food a whore and i'm the john. (Good Grief!) I believe I will now digress....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course half way into my *second plate!* I'm wondering why that little voice inside my head didn't warn me about the &lt;a href="http://my.aream.ca/blogs/mike/archive/2005/10/28/15173.aspx"&gt;decisions &lt;/a&gt;I needed to make in a few hours.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I must have packed on a pound or two because of it. I should have taken the hint from a couple of my co-workers and not eaten anything. Arghh!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One thing I don't like doing is eating out.  Depending on where you eat it is an easy way to gain weight. Losing 5lbs means I have to go to the gym at least once during the week. I'll have to post a blog about the joy of pbj. But I would also like to make a goal of stopping this really horrible food choice. I'll probably goto superstore today and pick up some "better" food choices. It is unfortunate that making a healthy choice means spending alot of money. Promise!) and have cleaned off the supper plates I'm ready to settle down for the evening. One of the biggest problems for me in weight management has been the urge to have a snack after eating dinner. It will be a tough habit to break but I believe it will help me in attaining my goal.
